With all of these solutions in place, Total Marketing & Services can now monitor and manage driving hours and driver behavior while also collecting important vehicle and driver data for later review. Doing so has proven valuable in reducing accidents, mitigating risks and anticipating potentially hazardous situations on the road.

MiX Fleet Manager monitors vehicle parameters (such as fuel consumption) via sensors and the CAN bus of vehicles. It provides notifications to alert drivers if they exceed predetermined parameters so that they can self-correct themselves. In addition, it provides a driver identification feature and the ability to monitor maintenance schedules so that ITA Transportes can send vehicles in for a service in a timely manner.

After implementation, ITA Transportes saw a myriad of great results. Their fuel consumption dropped by 18%, operating costs were reduced by 40% and clutch interventions were lowered by a massive 90%. Monitoring maintenance schedules more effectively has led to fewer breakdowns and more vehicle availability. Carey Worldwide Chauffeur Services prides themselves on providing high-quality, safe customer service using luxurious, well-maintained vehicles. To sustain their high standards, they realised that they needed to better manage potential transportation risks.

With the help of MiX Hours of Service, Transportes Della Volpe could move away from traditional paper logbooks, a method that has great potential for error and manipulation, to electronic working hours logging. Using a key, drivers can be identified and all trip hours can be accurately monitored from start to finish, without the need for manual input. The app that comes with MiX Fleet Manager has been a big time-saver for Transportes Della Volpe as drivers can now manage their hours online, whether they have a signal or not.

Almost immediately after implementing the MiX Hours of Service solution, Transportes Della Volpes saw their labor liabilities cost drop from R$ 180,000 per month on average to R$ 60,000. They also saw their fuel consumption drop by 20% after implementing measures to encourage more cautious driving.

Frish & Sons is a 13-person operation which runs eight vehicles, ranging from pickups to dump trucks. The company’s main aim was to use GPS tracking so that they can know where their staff and vehicles are at all times and if they are where they’re supposed to be. In addition to this, they wanted to track unsafe and inefficient driving behaviors such as speeding, harsh accelerations, excessive idling and more.

Stabilised Pavements of Australia (SPA) is an innovative stabilisation contractor that has been in business since the 80s. Their experienced team of engineers and technical staff solve complex engineering problems on a daily basis and do important work to repair roads across Australasia to increase road safety.

SPA were facing various challenges including drivers speeding (which led to fines), fatigued driving, vehicle rollovers, high maintenance costs and more.
