This meant that they had to take a serious look at putting measures in place that ensure their drivers are transporting product quickly and, more importantly, safely.

MiX by Powerfleet is supplying Nippon Gases with the tools to monitor, score and analyse risky driving behaviour, especially speeding, to ensure that trucks arrive safely at their destination with the product intact and reduce the risk of accidents. This was key as getting oxygen to patients on time can be a life-or-death situation.

In addition, vehicle stability is also being closely observed using an on-board computer that measures g-force. This ensures that drivers are not handling their vehicles recklessly, such as braking or cornering too harshly. These actions and others are signs of aggressive driving and may damage product during transportation.

Nippon Gases continues to confidently supply medical gases as well as deliver and produce cooling solutions for the transportation of temperature-sensitive vaccines across Europe. This all thanks to the ongoing use of MiX by Powerfleet’s fleet management solution alongside RIBAS (an in-cab driver display for alerts), geofencing and trailer ID.
